Frequently Asked Questions

What regions do you serve?

Play to Grow Pediatric Therapy is based in Ridgefield, Connecticut. Teletherapy services are available to anyone residing in the state of Connecticut.

Where do therapy sessions take place?

Services are provided in our clinic space located at 412 Main Street in downtown Ridgefield, Connecticut.

How long are the sessions?

Sessions are 30 or 45 minutes, depending on your child’s individual needs. The frequency of sessions is also tailored to each child, but are typically 1 to 2 times per week.

Do you accept insurance?

We are currently a private-pay-only practice and are considered out-of-network with insurance providers. Upon request, we’re happy to provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. We recommend contacting your insurance company beforehand to confirm your out-of-network benefits.

Private-pay services allow us to offer therapy when there is a clinical need, even if a child does not meet eligibility criteria for school-based services or coverage through their insurance plan.

What types of payment do you accept?

We accept debit and credit cards. Payment is due at the time of service.

Can you work with my child if they are receiving therapy services at school?

Yes. Many families choose to pursue private occupational therapy in addition to school-based services, or when their child does not qualify for them. While school-based OT focuses on supporting participation in the educational setting, private OT can address a broader range of skills that help support children at home, in the community, and in daily life beyond the classroom.

How do I know if my child needs services?

Occupational therapy can help when everyday tasks feel challenging for your child, such as getting dressed, using utensils, holding a pencil, self-regulating, or participating in play, learning, and daily routines. If daily routines often feel frustrating or overwhelming, an OT evaluation can help identify areas where support may be needed.
